Your own blood, in office
Platelet-rich plasma
Platelets are concentrated from a small sample of your blood and placed precisely, under image guidance, to support healing in tendons, ligaments, joints and the spine.
Dr. Nick Ghazarian, DO · Los Angeles
Board-certified orthopedic surgeon and fellowship-trained spine surgeon. Nonsurgical first, minimally invasive when it matters.
Our approach
Most spine and joint conditions improve without surgery. We begin with the least invasive path, and recommend an operation only when it will clearly serve you.
Physical therapists, nutritionists, chiropractors and acupuncturists, working from one plan.
PRP, A2M and bone marrow concentrate, prepared from your own blood or marrow.
State-of-the-art procedures for when an operation is the right answer.
Regenerative medicine
For many patients, regenerative treatments relieve pain and restore function while avoiding or delaying surgery.

Your own blood, protein-based
A naturally occurring protein concentrated from your blood. A2M binds and inhibits enzymes that break down cartilage, and is often considered for joint and disc-related pain.
Your own bone marrow
A small bone marrow sample, typically drawn from the back of the pelvis, is concentrated to deliver cellular and growth-factor components to degenerative joints and spine structures.
Conditions we evaluate
Regenerative injections are most often considered for chronic musculoskeletal conditions that haven't fully responded to conservative care. Whether any therapy is appropriate is determined on a case-by-case basis after a clinical evaluation.
Targeted injections to support disc and facet joint healing.
Reduce inflammation and slow cartilage degeneration.
Tennis elbow, rotator cuff, Achilles tendinopathy, plantar fasciitis.
Sacroiliac and lumbar facet joint pain that hasn't responded to therapy.
Accelerate return-to-play after muscle, ligament, or joint strain.
Adjunctive therapy to enhance healing after orthopedic procedures
Regenerative treatment
Dr. Ghazarian reviews your history, imaging, and exam findings to discuss whether a regenerative option may be appropriate — or whether a different approach is a better fit.
A small blood sample (PRP / A2M) or bone marrow sample (BMC) is collected. Most visits take roughly 30–60 minutes depending on the therapy.
The sample is processed in a medical-grade system to concentrate the platelets, proteins, or cellular components used for the injection.
Using ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance when indicated, the concentrate is delivered to the targeted spine or joint structure.
Most patients resume normal activity within 24–48 hours. Any biologic response develops gradually over the following weeks; results vary by individual.
Surgery
If surgical intervention is inevitable, we offer state-of-the-art, minimally invasive procedures to treat a multitude of spinal disorders.
Smaller incisions and less disruption to surrounding muscle, for decompression and stabilization of the spine.
A motion-preserving option for selected neck conditions, replacing a damaged disc rather than fusing the level.
Our team
One goal: identify the source of pain, explain the options clearly, and build a plan that fits your condition, goals and lifestyle.
